What is rehab?
Rehab, short for rehabilitation, is a treatment programme designed to help people overcome issues like addiction or mental health challenges. It includes therapy, counseling, and medical support to guide individuals through recovery and teach them healthier ways to cope. Rehab provides a safe and structured environment to help people break harmful habits and start a path toward long-term well-being. For more information, visit the World Health Organization’s Fact Sheet on Rehabilitation.
What is the purpose of rehab?
Rehab helps you rebuild structure in your life and address the root causes of addiction or mental health challenges. It provides the support and tools needed for long-term recovery and a healthier future.
What do you do in rehab?
Rehab involves a structured daily routine designed to support both your mental and physical well-being. You’ll participate in therapy sessions, which may include individual counseling, group therapy, or specialized treatments like CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). Mindfulness exercises, such as meditation, stretching, and breathwork, help you reconnect with yourself. Physical fitness is also a key part of the program, with activities like personal training, group exercises, and yoga. Additionally, you’ll take part in community-based activities, group discussions, and excursions to ensure a holistic approach that addresses both your body and mind. The goal is to create a supportive environment where you can heal and grow.
Is rehab only to get off drugs?
No, our rehab also focuses on mental health conditions such as trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. We work with each client to address their unique needs.
Can I stay on a month-to-month basis?
Yes, we offer flexible stays, including month-to-month options, based on your progress and needs.
What is the minimum length of stay?
The minimum stay is 2 weeks to ensure you receive proper care and support. However, we recommend a stay of at least 4 weeks for the best results, as longer stays generally lead to better outcomes in recovery.
What can I expect from going to your rehab?
As a private facility, we offer a more tailored approach to care. This allows us to create personalized treatment plans, ensuring that your individual needs are met. Our focused, one-on-one attention can help expedite your recovery. You’ll also benefit from a structured environment and a supportive community to guide you through every stage of your journey.
What should I bring with me?
We recommend bringing comfortable clothes, personal toiletries, any prescribed medications, and important documents like your passport and insurance. For a detailed list of what to bring, please refer to our [admissions page]. If you have any specific questions, feel free to contact us directly for more information.
What if my visa is only valid for 28 days?
We will help guide you through the visa extension process, so your stay can be as seamless as possible.
Can I bring my electronics?
Yes, you can bring personal electronics, but usage will be limited during certain parts of the program to maintain focus on recovery.
Do you separate mental health and addiction clients?
We thoroughly assess and vet each client to ensure they fit well within our community. Our environment is built on mutual understanding, even when clients come from different backgrounds and face a variety of challenges, whether related to addiction or mental health.
Can I go out on weekends outside of the scheduled program?
Yes, depending on circumstances. We will provide a mandatory support staff escort during these outings.
How do cash and credit cards work? Can I hold onto them during my stay?
For safety and security, we recommend storing valuables in our secure facility. You’ll have access to your funds when needed through our staff.
Can I go shopping during my stay?
Shopping trips are only approved under certain circumstances, such as if you are underprepared or near the end of your treatment. It’s better to come prepared to avoid unnecessary trips.
Is there a separate place to detox?
Yes, we have an onsite hospital where you can detox safely under medical supervision.
What if I'm worried about withdrawals while traveling to Thailand?
We understand that traveling a long distance can be concerning, especially if you’re worried about withdrawals. Our psychiatrist will speak with you before your journey to assess your situation and determine the best course of action to ensure your safety and comfort during travel.
What are the excursions?
Our excursions include a variety of exciting activities such as ziplining, rafting, visits to elephant sanctuaries, and cooking classes.
